Victoria Theatre Association

Victoria Theatre Association, located in the historic Victoria Theatre at 138 North Main Street in downtown Dayton, is one of Dayton's premier not-for-profit arts organizations. We present more than 300 performances for all ages each year, operate and maintain the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center, the Victoria Theatre and Metropolitan Arts Center, home of The Loft Theatre, for the benefit of the community and the arts organizations that use them.

Our Vision is to enrich the lives, learning, and leisure of our community through the performing arts. Our Mission is to strengthen the economic and artistic vitality of our community and arts partners through presenting quality and diverse arts experiences and stewardship of our community's state-of-the-art performance venues.

In addition to the Miami Valley & Good Samaritan Hospitals Broadway Series, Victoria Theatre Association also presents the PNC Family Series, the Michelob Ultra Cool Films Series, The Projects Unlimited Variety Series, Star Attractions, and the Physicians for Kids Discovery Series, which features curriculum-enhanced live theatre productions for school children.

Incorporated in 1976 as Victory Theatre Association, the organization played a crucial role in saving the Victoria Theatre (then the Victory Theatre) from demolition. The organization purchased the Victory Theatre in 1978 and restored its gilded Victorian beauty. In 1988 the Arts Center Foundation acquired the Victory Theatre from Victory Theatre Association and completed a $17.5 million renovation project. Following the renovation, it was rechristened the Victoria Theatre and Victory Theatre Association became Victoria Theatre Association.
