60's Continentals were built like tanks. When I was 8 years old, my mom stopped to pick up my sisters friend for school in the morning, the 1966 Continental was parked at the curb, we were rear ended by a new Olds Toronado, the Olds hood pushed up like a church roof, the radiator exploded with steam coming out and the fenders were crushed in. The Continental, nothing happened except a small crack in the paint by the bumper assembly. The car moved three feet after getting hit at 20 MPH !
