Bike Stereo

I made a stereo / light system for my bicycle. Used some household items and had to improvise a bit, but its all soldered together solid and runs like a charm!

You can go places on bike that you can't in a car, its good exercise, doesn't burn gas and its fun

Sure they're quick and easy. But they're also dangerous, they allow very little to no ambient noise. They tangle easily, the ear buds fall off and they\re a tripping/snagging hazard . The only thing I like about headphones are the privacy, good for buses, crowded areas, and they keep bugs out of your ears!. Other than that, I recommend some speakers. Safer and hassle free.

Ha ha, I just sound weird on camera. I eventually moved everything to a cargo carrier on a rear rack, added larger battery and switches. Then it got stolen. Working on a 5hp Cargo trike now

I'm not exactly too sure on what to do there either dude. Although I do have some tips: Try to use Lithium on batterys cause they charge fast and they're really light. I didnt go all out and use a high output amp cause I didnt want it too too loud. I still want to hear traffic and stuff, but didnt want head phones in. Im not sure what kind of speakers you're planning on using, but weather proof ones would be ideal. You may need a car altenator to get that much juice. Keep us posted man

UNLIKE a car, the more you use the "motor" on a bike, the stronger it gets! that is, until some aggressive driving fidiot runs you over anyways.

bike stereos are a much better way to meet the ladies! how many lazy motorists do you know that have had chicks run up to them and freak (dance/hump) on their leg to a tune they're playing?

that's the kind of action you get on a FUGLY mountain bike with decent sound like my 1st system!

Thats a really cool bike man! i have a raleigh too. all black its really nice and i bought it 5 years ago they are amazing bikes. Nice setup by the way!!

wait until you see MY rig too. it will be a rolling disco with too much tacky chrome for the retina to endure! LOL ladies just love shiny objects and i already get them scoping my chrome on chrome beach cruiser without lighting or tunes just as well as my beat up 20 year old huffy kicking the jams out of bookshelf speakers on 15wpc.

people will lose their minds when it's all combined with a 500w+ sound system with light show.

1. unlike a car, the more you use it, the better the engine (YOU) gets on a bike

2. bikes don't destroy the planet or run over & kill people

3. anyone can fix a bike or just carry it if it breaks

4. bikes are cheap & don't require insurance

5. the biggest reason to ride a bike with a stereo is that they make women RUN over to you to join the party like the one that ran up to me and started freakin' on my leg to "my sharona". ever get THAT kind of play in your polutionmobile?
