and what's so sick about this? I've seen more sick videos than this, please change your video description or get reported for misleading title... as a sidenote, that's called cramp reflexes, the fish is dead; electrical impulses stimulate the nerves and muscles, not necessarily sent from the brain as signals

i know that in nature animals are alive when eaten all the time, but part of being human is to show a little respect for life and make sure your food isnt living and/or twitching when you eat it
-
Was it delicious?

I'm not really sure I care whether its a nerve thing and whether the fish is dead or alive. I just don't think I could sit there and eat bits of an animal as it lay there twitching away on my plate!!

@spyjan1 "Don't you think it's disgusting? For me it's just yuck. They can even eat a dog"
How do you know you haven't already eaten dog without knowing it --
apprently it tastes alot like beef -- and once it is cooked you probably wouldnt even know it was dog
-
@meech643 "Since sushi isn't cooked, this fish is still alive until the time that all movement ceases"
Then explain why the same thing happens to frogs legs ( which cant possibly be alive -- as it is detached from the head)
-
keep on swimming!!!
-
Nerve reactions its not actually alive
-
@fouroverfour Ahhh!... interesting. Thanks for the info.

@delirium1326 It's not alive, bro. It's dead. There are little octopus meals that "dance" also. It's just a chemical reaction to salt (soy sauce).
@tangjkd barbarian's words. i do not decline eating meat, but if an animal has died for your appetite i think you should at least show some respect for it. not torture it and let it live while its being eaten for some extra 'touch'. mankind has lost it's respect for animals and people like you confirm the stereotype. what are you a neanderthaler?

I thought so at first too. It's actually the undamaged nerves response to salt stimulus. The salt is reacting with it's nerves to cause movement. Grosses me out, but the fish is dead.
