If you read history, asshole, you'd have read that when the Haitians beat the french in 1805, France retaliated by putting a HUGE monetary fine that could never be paid and enlisting America's assistance in enforcing it. The point is, you fail to understand that these people have been in an enforced state of poverty because of corrupt government, exploitation and political manipulation. Now they need our help and if we claim to be the leaders of the free world we need to step up and prove it.

When they are a sovereign nation, the only way they could be exploited is if they let someone do it. But really, what have they got to exploit anyway? Nothing, because theyve never done anything with themselves in the first place, except constantly take for international aid, even before the quake.
