Web Pierce was truly probably the first super star of country western music. Although Hank Williams had alot of hit songs. Web help get country music to be accepted by people that were not into what was considered hillbilly music. He had a long carrer and sold more country records than any other artist till the mid 60's

I remember a time, at Nippy's, when songs were 10 cents a piece, 5 for a quarter on the juke, and this song played almost non-stop
