Actually, the hats aren't the beat there, so that'd make sense =P
Hihats are playing the 3 of the polyrhythm, but the pulse is the 4 (snare and bass). Certainly right that he should've counted in though!

Is there anyone who doesn't feel the hihat as the beat at 1:50? You should have counted before you started there. It's nice concept to use though ;)
