iPad/iPhone Background MIDI Triggering Multiple Apps: BeatMaker 2, SampleWiz, and Sunrizer Synth

Trigger different iOS Core MIDI apps running in the background without touching your iPad. All you need to do is switch channels on your controller.

THIS WORKS WITH OTHER APPS TOO. I'M USING THESE 3 JUST TO DEMONSTRATE.

Hi Thanks. So here's a question:

Can you run your midi controller keyboard on one app (say sunriser) and use your iPad to run another one (say beatmaker 2) SIMULTANEOUSLY? If so, please explain. Thanks.

@jdrudo Of course, all you'd have to do is set up Sunrizer to receive MIDI on a separate channel that that channels used in beatmaker.

ok, i almost understand, i have sunrizer and a midi keyboard, cant do it with garageband though right? also how do you get the apps in little groups like that, sorry i have no clue.

Even run all 16 on 1 channel or mix and match to have multi sounds and deep sound wall.

Also fun to do in Nano. Set up 16 synths on different channels and scroll through with controller. 1 app 16 synths. Low CPU :)
