  • Of course, but Jet Harris choiced his own way togethher with Tony Meehan at 1962

  • @stratocaster78a

While I agree that Jet Harris went his own way it can't be argued that he came up with the name 'The Shadows'. This makes him an original band member.

  • This is the real Shadows with Alan Jones and Cliff Hall, in my opinion

  • @stratocaster78a

The real Shadows would have to include Jet Harris

  • Amigaone, you're an angel !!!!! I've been a big fan of the Shadows for 50 years & have seen them on stage a few times over the years in Christchurch, N.Z. However, the last time I saw them in ChCh around '84 or '85, they played Equinoxe V & I have been hooked on it since then, but unable to obtain the track in any form at all, so have been humming to myself every day for 25yrs UNTIL I found it here. I now play it at full volume every day over & over. Cant get enough.

    Thanks again Amigaone !

  • This is the best version of that song they do...just one super group, and they can sing too...

  • very well taken

  • It's kinda pointless arguing about which line-up is the 'real' shadows, as human mortality put paid to that possibility ever becoming the case where the 'real' lineup ever performs in studio or live again.

As for the video and the performance - well, i remember this well way back when.

Like most bands, they had their good interpretive 'covers' and bad ones (noone did all good ones) - Cavatina, Time Is Tight & Equinnox must feature amongst the cream of their covers, especially live.

  • HANK MARVIN es la reostia con la guitarra. personalidad inconfundible. 10 estrellas.

  • @amigaone Shadows don´t have an regulary bass-player since John Rostill sadly died. The place have alterned between Alan Jones, Mark Griffith and Alan Tarney. What I mean is, in the most memorable recordings Shadows have done since John Rostill died,is Alan Jones bass-player
