Halo: Reach - Mission 8 - "The Package" Pt.2/2

As you finally reach the coordinates given to you by Dot, you find a position that looks like it was held by Marines, but nothing else.

Jun and Emile are annoyed and suggest getting the hell out, when Dot receives revised info from another AI. A panel retracts and the team enters. You enter a tram, which takes you far below the surface, and receive a surprise: Dr. Halsey is alive.

The tram reaches what looks like some form of artifact, neither human nor Covenant. Halsey is still decrypting vital data and needs time to finish. Alien forces land and you give her as much time by defending the entrance to the lab.

Once she's done, Halsey opens the lab and you enter. Inside you see a very strange artifact, with an AI (Cortana), accumulating the data.

Halsey also gives another surprise: the AI has chosen you, specifically, to take her to a ship, The Pillar of Autumn.

After leaving Sword Base, it's detonated from below. Carter orders Jun to accompany Halsey, while he take you and Emile in a Pelican to the Pillar of Autumn...
