Tech : A Busted MacBook Pro

READ ME FIRST: Once again, I am experiencing a hardware failure with one of my Macs. This time, it's the damn FF-Class MacBook Pro, purchased in December 2007 from Apple. Please note that the flashback clip is from my movie, "Three Core Boat Anchor", where my brand new, $5,500 MacPro system had one dead core. Wow, I was really pissed off.

Also note that the primary reason for making this video was to use it as a back drop for that series of crummy jokes while the screen was flashing. Apple in Boca Raton, FL has serviced me very quickly, and I should have the repaired machine with a new logic board in a few days, as I have been told.

ARGH! Thanks for posting this. I have a Macbook Pro as well.... completely failed on me. I replaced the magsafe charger FOUR times due to insulation failure. In addition: took it in after it was down for EIGHT months. They replaced the logic board. WITH ONE THAT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM Nvidia 8600M GT that caused the problem in the first place. 1 day in, already having issues. Overheating, pixelation, failure of keyboard to light up. Nice investment. Thanks Apple. It's going back.

Listen -- my nephew's expensive MacBook Pro was in Apple service for THREE TIMES - on the fourth failure, he brought it in, and the arranged a NEW system of equal value -- with an option to take advantage of upgrades to tweak up the system -- if you are having THAT much problem, pace out the documented service visits, wack up at least three, and after that, start pushing for a NEW one. Some balls they got, at the price we pay for this shit.
