English of birth, the artist came to Brazil in 1952, at 43 anos.Aqui began its work on the technique of illustration walks in the Serra do Mar.Seus works were performed in direct contact with the first dispatch the Natureza.Organizou Amazon in 1956 from which designed and described new species for ciência.Algumas were named in his honor.

Not only Margaret Mee was a gifted and talented artist but also a woman who loved the Brazilian Amazon rainforest and Brazil. If you ever have the chance, do go and spend an afternoon at Kew Gardens, London where there's so much of her to see. Thank you for sharing.
