Famous Studios Popeye the Sailor cartoon. This is one of those cartoons where you can tell that the animators had fun with the plot. This is another one of those where Popeye tells his nephews a story to teach them the importance of spinach. For the second time, Popeye tells his nephews the story of "Jack and the Beanstalk" (the first was in 1943's "Ration fer the Duration"), but this time Popeye puts himself in the story in place of Jack. Notice how Popeye's appearance in the story is that of his adult self wearing boys' clothing. On almost all other occasions where Popeye would tell a story about his childhood, he would appear in the story looking like a child. Aside from the hilarious sight to see an adult version of Popeye in boys' clothing, it gives the impression that Popeye's story is pure nonsense. However, the surprise ending reveals that for once, Popeye actually told a true story.

Shares much in common with alternate paramount toon Super Lulu. Giant is the same albeit beardless and Popeye "flies" to the giant's face, then flips the giant through a building. Further Popeye "converts" his nevvys into seeing it his way as did Lulu change her father's attitude about comics.
