Land of Hope and Glory. It rapidly became one of the most widely popular songs played during wartime. The music behind the tune was composed by Sir Edward Elgar in 1902 for incoming King Edward VII - Coronation Ode - and the words subsequently added by Arthur Christopher Benson.

A great deal of what made the British Empire great was thanks to the strength and courage of Scotland's Highland regiments and the sheer brain power of her thinkers, most of whom I doubt you, clearly as an uneducated man, have ever heard.

@cabelodefogouk Well I'm from Glasgow. I'm proud to be Scottish, but prouder to be British. I love the Queen just as much as any English, Welsh or Northern Irishman. I like the Union. I wish the UK would go independent from Europe and stop all these Irish, Polish, etc. immigrants coming in and trying to take over our land.
