The fundamentalist and evangelical Protestant Christians in the US who fervently embrace Israel are the single most important block of non-Jewish American supporters of the Zionist state and its policies. But few of these "Christian Zionists" realize just what an odd minority they are among the world's Christians, and how out of step their views are with traditional Christian principles. Christian Zionists reject the ethical values of Jesus as laid out in the Gospels, and betray fellow Christians in Palestine who are victims of Israeli dispossession and oppression. They also reject the US foreign policy principles laid out by George Washington and other founders, who warned against "entangling alliances" with foreign countries, and holding a "passionate attachment" to foreign states.

Why not discuss Israel's foes in light of the Gospel?

Just because Muhammadanism is the EXACT OPPOSITE of the WHOLE SUBJECT of the Gospel!

It's a strawman argument to suggest that someone has to be a John Darby styled dispensationalist, or futurist, to recognize the tons of scripture that prophesied the return of Jews to Israel. Even the fact that they remained a cohesive group while being scattered among the nations and persecuted for 2500 years, should say it all - let alone their return.

The suggestion that U.S. Authorities are unresponsive to Human Rights violations does not seem to be supported by the Actions of Congress. Only last year Congressmen were shocked by video footage of Tamils in Sri Lanka being executed in their hundreds. U.S. Aid to Sri Lanka has been stopped until Washington receives full clarification of events in Tamil Towns at the end of that countries Civil War.
