For one of my subscribers who asked on Ravelry about trapping when knitting on the knitside (for knitting a flat piece of stranded work). Basically, it's the reverse of what you do when purling on the purlside. On the knitside, your background colour will feed from the right and your foreground colour will feed from the left.

Please don't use "Portuguese" knit stitches to knit in the round unless you want to drive yourself insane. The strength of "Portuguese knitting" lies in the speed and crispness of its purl stitches, so if you're doing stranded knitting in the round, do it from the purlside.
