  • Gosh, this song makes my cry every time I hear it...

Thank you Billy Joel. We WILL remember.

And thank you Aerosol for posting this video.

    GOD BLESS AMERICA!

  • A sad time and a concert that was needed. The concert attendance consisted of real American heroes who persisted and won in the face of adversity and difficult conditions.

  • @nowheretosit Do you know how many lives the NYPD saved that day? Do you have any fucking idea?

Please, for the good of our great nation, euthanize yourself.

  • @nowheretosit Fuck off.

  • Unfortunately this video is ruined by having to watch shots of un-American police members who routinely trample civil freedoms and represent the worst of American corruption.

  • thats some powerful shit

  • This was one of my favorite Billy Joel songs while growing up. I had to turn off the concert when this came on because I lost it. I still get choked up more than 10 years later.

  • It doesn't get better than this...... I love NY.

  • @WolverLini almost prophetic isnt it since it was written about 25 years before 9/11 with lines like "i watched the mighty skyline fall", "I saw the ruins at my feet" and even the line for years in the future "there are not many who remember, they say a handfull still survive, to tell the world about the way the lights went out and keep the memory alive.." this song took on a totally different context after 9/11, almost the anthem for 9/11

  • Seems amazing, but I'd never heard of this song (though a Billy Joel fan) until after 9/11. When I heard it, I absolutely lost it--and I still do.

  • The firs thing i thought 9/11 was "i saw the mighty skyline fall" :(

  • I love this man.
