Sri Lanka is blessed with many Muslim singers who sing their heart out of Buddhist songs and this is yet another classic example of such a singer. Not many have been written about Ahamed Mohideen, but his passion in singing shows what he had.
This is the gramophone version of the song.
Beautiful illustrations of prince Siddhartha and Lord Buddha were provided by Samitha malli who deserves a good applaud!

    You have added a such a lovely golden oldie..I know this song but heard it after a long time..This singer even though he was from a differant religion ha has sung a very valuable song...At this time I remember someone who cannot be forgotten for singing sinhala buddhist songs..He is our beloved Beig Master along with many others...
