FPV Flight over flooded Big Bend, LA

I wanted to get a flight over the flooded fields in Big Bend before the water starts to fall. Thankfully the weather was pretty good today! It was a little windy and I didn't get a really smooth video, but it'll do... ;) I'll have to patch up the landing gear and see about getting a replacement lens for my GoPro and try again if I can! I should probably think about re-building my pan/tilt mount to incorporate the waterproof housing rather than just the bare camera being exposed!

I know what you mean about the exposed GoPro, mine was exposed on my Skywalker, too. Im going to use the housing with a hole cut into it for the AV cable from now on.

I love these videos of big bend. You probably know my grandparents Beth and Hank gaspard. They live probably a mile or two down the road if I can see the map correctly.

@bessybessy The plane is based on an extended Slow Stick fuselage (stock length plus one extra short section) with a Slow Stick tail, and a wing of a Chinese clone of an Easy Glider. Landing gear is one I made, just a regular flat aluminum dural gear. There's no stabilizer. It's usually smoother than this though, it's was a little windy for this flight. On a calm day it's dead smooth.

@W4UAV Yeah it's so clear from the air, but you can't really see it down there from the boat... lol Maybe we need air support next time we go out in the boat to guide us! haha
