Shazam is one of the coolest Android Applications on the Android Market. It is musical recognition software that can detect what song is playing on your car radio, tv, laptop, etc... just by listening in.
It then provides you with purchase links, youtube links to that song/artist and it keep tracks of all the songs you've tagged.

Android is the operating system & it's open so it's all about the Phone providers to put it out their. Samsung is already working on one and so is Motorola. Right now the only Android phone out is the T-mobile G1

it doesn't matter what phone it came out on first, it came out as a text related service about 3 years ago, so its neither the iphone or the android...
