let's go sailing on my catalina 25! single-handed, sailed the short 58nm from channel islands marina to catalina island. breeze freshend (after this footage), and was surfing SOG (speed over ground) up to 10.1 kts! have to love california sailing...

Nice video. Surfing can give a really big boost in speed. And yes, any boat can "surf" and move a lot faster.
