In this segment we talk a bit about how the sheer size of the Federal Government is part of the problem with torture. We discus local activism and decentralization as a way to bring accountability back to government.

Often more profound change comes when our love of government or religion or whatever is challenged on a fundamental level. Anarchy has the advantage of challenging or confronting polictical institutions that seek to control individuals. I also like anarchy because it appears to be a philosophy that is indivualistic.
Anarchy's danger: possilby ncreased apathey. Anarchy\s strength: reliance on oneself to change the world.

I am not into taking paths. Krishnamurti pointed out that the taking of paths; e.g. Christianity,, Islam does more to hurt mankind than help it. Please see the folllowing link. The first 5 minutes gives my view re paths.

Anarchism in my opinion does not work as a concrete model /path for change. It is however an ideal /perspective that politicians and the religions should strive for. Of could these groups hate anarchy because they follow the path and love the path.

Both arguments here have validity...and they can work in tandem, without contradicting the other. Ultimately, the power of global finance needs to be curtailed on a global level, i.e. global opposition to it, because they have simply become too powerful. Much, much can be done on a local level, but once the global financial elite controls the food supply of every nation on the planet, not to mention the continued environment degradation, every small community will suffer as a result.

Great points re the mid-term elections!
As an anarchist, I dissagree with your position on anarchy.
keep up the good work

Do you see a path directly to anarchy? I'm not philosphically opposed to it, I just think there are a lot of steps between there and here and lots of disinformation sown to make that path even harder. I'm afraid if we move in that direction too quickly, gangster capitalism is the likely result, like in Russia. I think Russia would be in much better shape if they'd kept Gorbachev and his go slow approach, but the people prefered that drunken boob Yeltsin and his dishonest promises.
