NS 70E last night with conductor Ron Schranz and engineer Marty Marcus took up a load last night and could not make it over the hill @ Sorento. They had to double it over the hill and bring a empty back. They could only make Karnes and went dead so they had to cut crossings. I thought this was funny because I thought this was our NS D64 research train when it was the NS Yard crew D64 called in to take this empty to St. Louis, LOL! WOW! P. S. Notice the big storm headed my way! LOL! WOW AGAIN!

UP 5707, 118 empties, 6,650ft., UP 7205 and UP 8252.

  • This looks like something the old Southern Pacific would do. Put one engine on a 100 car train.
