Three Social Thunderstorms George Colony Forrester Research #leweb What is happening in the Social Mobile and Local scene and what are the predictions of Forrester Research
@bThere21 What is the problem in running app, not installing it? it is a matter of some OS development. Binary can, actually, be fired faster than web, since web needs several html, js, css files.
One of the webs better features was run anywhere (with a lot of effort), it's near instant "install" and always up to date feature set.
As we move towards take your platform anywhere that part becomes diminished but the install and update paradigm are still problematic, at least at the same level of frequency as the web.
One downside is the disparate nature of the platforms (apple, google, windows, amazon) that needs to be worked out in some way at least from the production end.
Great Analysis George ! At @Service2Media we believe that this is part of the App Journey towards a new App Economy driven by customer demand and powered by Portfolios of core and mission-critical Apps. We have an App Lifecycle Platform that enables the creation of highly efficient Apps that run across all platforms. We provide the security features and collaborative orchestration that supports complex processes and social interaction. And we've set up AppCenters to let you build them.

Voice Recognition will allow 85 percent of the planet who cannot type to use the Internet, maybe that is the next breakthrough.
