11,000rpm!!! i thought most of these engines redlined around 8-9,000 so how come they some can rev to 11,000? also what kind of horsepower do these put out?

@swinegull. LOL, they probably do redline at 8-9000rpm, notice that the blue ute running at 11,000rpm doesn't last that long. :)

top fuel redlines at 8,000 because of so much compression. those engines has over 1000 hp per cylinder and can not handle 10,000 rpm.

@swinegull Some SBCs Can, Anything Smaller than 383 Ci can go Pretty high RPM Wise for around 30-45 seconds, It'd last at 11 or 12 grand. So long As you don't have a Stiff foot, You should have a Pretty long lasting SBC To go to Natl's with!

@swinegull no way bro the only thing that can rev 10 grand is top fuelers and nitro funny cars these would be red lineing around 7.5 grand any more and they would detanate them selves
