Fiona Loader, who is a copyright attorney representing APRA-AMCOS in conversation with Catholica editor, Brian Coyne, at the Australian Pastoral Musicians' Network Copyright Workshop held at the Parramatta Diocesan Centre on Saturday, 19th November 2011. In this video Fiona shares her perceptions of the changes in copyright law and is optimistic that the law is being simplified and more reflective of life today and the new technologies that impact on how music is produced and reproduced. She also discusses the role of APRA-AMCOS in the licensing of music used in the pastoral and liturgical life of the churches. This video is part of a more extensive report published at www.catholica.com.au/breakingnews/035_bn_211111.php on the issue of the use of copyrighted music in religious worship and the responsibilities of all the people involved in the production of music, its use at the local level, the collection and distribution of royalties to the composers of the work.
Nov 21 and still no views. No wonder, sound quality needs improved you need to edit these videos better. Besides contemporary music has no place in the Liturgy.
