Never surfed here, but driven by quite a few times while travelling from central coast to so cal, and little Rincon always looked like a better wave than the "real" Rincon. Shorter maybe, but long enough, nice bowl and holds its shape.
I lived here from 1972 till 1975 at The Cliff House when it was a run down apartment building. 7 guys out was a crowd and most of those 7 were local residents. We all took turns rotating sitting deep by the pier pilings. I then moved to Bates Road and surfed Rincon from 1975 to 1980 religiously. After 44 years of surfing the "Land O Points" I quit! All the points are dead and so is surfing.
Another great point nearby is Fariah or what we used to call Pitas Point and some used to call it "Mary's" back in the 60's. So many great points from Jalama to Topanga. But too crowded now.
@joelsavell I drive by this place everyday, and Rincon blows it away 95 percent of the time. But it does have its days.
