Riding a GS 500 (34hp) on the Kyffhäuser in Saxony-Anhalt. Sadly there was quite a bit of car traffic on the road on the first day and the next day there was an accident about half way up. So sadly no undisturbed complete "runs".

  • when you shift down you should accelerate while clutching so that you match the rpms that are going to be at the lower gear, this way not only do you avoid drifting your real wheel, but also riding become more natural and you will extend your clutch life. Probably you were a newbie at that stage and you didn't learn it yet, but I tell you anyway because it will prevent you from many difficult situations.

Enjoy your GS!! Good riding!! Vsssssss

  • @dcalvomayo I have never thought of it as necessary, since the locking of the back wheel did not strike me as a problem so far ;) But I will look into it.

  • OMG curves, curves, curves..

  • @davidg939 The Kyffhäuser is every biker's wet dream ;)

  • Casi se la pega tu estupido amigo.

  • Olha só os asfalto! É outra coisa, se comparado com os daqui dá a impressão de que andamos na terra.

  • Great road. The only thing you could wish for is one way traffic.

  • @WatWudBeACoolUsrname do you know what is called "heel-toe downshifting" for cars? what I explained it's the same but for bikes

  • @dcalvomayo i dont get what you mean. im planning to get a my first bike soon.

  • Nice video, I make his download to my computer. I have one GS500 2008 here in Brazil i am his first owner. I like to see other videos of gs5oo owners arround the globe, special in europe, because the models are excataly the same, and the same sound. Nice trip, perfect road. Good luck man!
