"Estonia" by Marillion, live in Centrum Stocznia Gdańska, Poland, on 11.II.2009. It seems that Gdańsk was the only city of the whole tour in which they played this song. ^^

EDIT:
Well, not quite - the band also played this song in Hamburg and Zoetermeer, on 14th and 15th February respectively. But still, Gdańsk was the first city to hear it after a long time. :D

  • "Estonia" was written after singer Steve Hogarth met Paul Barney, the only British survivor from the accident where the passenger ferry Estonia sank in the Baltic Sea in September 1994, killing 852 people.

  • It's dedicated to those who died in the Estonia disaster

  • from what i can remember h saying at the burnley gig, it was to do with a man he met who was the last man on a ship that sank called the Estonia. or something along those lines

  • No Please tell me why???

  • of course.. that's how and why i found this song

  • Do anyone know anything about Estonia or why that song was written ?

I do , but do you to ?
