This Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt '62 Strat is truly the cream of the crop from the Fender Custom Shop. This stratocaster was handmade for the Fender Custom Shop Roadshow by Greg Fessler, with a meticulous attention to detail that only comes with a Fender Masterbuilt. And you know Fender doesn't send average guitars to the Roadshow. This Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt '62 Strat's light Alder body is finished in a thin Sonic Blue lacquer, with just the right amount of relic-ing for a comfortable, broken-in feel and a classy vintage appearance. The neck is quartersawn maple with a comfortable 60's oval "C" shape, capped off with a 9.5" radius Indian Rosewood Fretboard and 6105 frets. Abigail Ybarra's handwound 60's spec pickups are the sonic centerpiece of this instrument, generating utterly convincing vintage strat tones in conjunction with 5-way switching. A bone nut and relic vintage hardware top off the feature set of this Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt '62 Strat.

  • Hi Andy,

where can I buy THIS guitar? I'm desperately searching for one like this.

    I live in Germany....

    cheers

  • @kakadoo123 - This particular guitar sold some time ago. We can certainly have one just like it built for you, though. For Fender Custom Shop ordering info please give our Custom Guitar Dept. a call at 503-670-4949, or email them using the contact form on our website. They can get you set up. Thanks!

  • Hi Andy, what gauge of strings did you use on this one ?

  • @coubiakb - Andy usually likes 10's or 11's, depending on the guitar and how it's set up. He was most likely using 10's for this video. Thanks!

  • @magyarikristof Loosen the strings at the headstock then loosen the screws at the bridge if you have vintage style tremolo. Re-tune and give it a shot.

  • Could I get some help from someone?

I have restrung my strat and now I'm not able tu pull my tremolo(to make the note higher) all I can do is push it.What am I supposed to do with the string to get more tense or something to make it okay??

    THX a lot
