This short and sweet masterpiece of Ludwig van Beethoven offers a cute, simplistic character, quite unusual in the excitement and intense emotion found in other late works of the composer. In an ABA form, the piece leaves from its tonic of G Major to the subdominant of C, during its middle section, before quickly returning back to G. It seems to make one imagine the cold and dark streets of Vienna in a winter night, with its quiet and slow nature.
Played by Nick Williams.
@babyfade6606 Okay. Sorry, I misinterpreted your comment as a hater. :P I'm not sure if it was my interpretation or not. I recorded this quite a while ago, and I would definitely play it much differently now. Thanks for commenting. :)

@Jolteon206 your refering to a rachmaninoff piece where Gilels played the single lyrical notes in the opening very loudly. I was simply agreeing with the original poster who said they were played a bit too loud for this taste as well. Unlike Gilels you seemed to batter the piano from start to finish and play everything very loudly. I only asked because you played the piece very well from a technical standpoint. So, I was wondering whether playing so loudly was part of your interpretation.

@babyfade6606 I don't know? Why don't you ask Gilels the same question, since apparently you think he does it too?

why do you slam the keys so hard

@daisyw28 It wasn't particularly difficult for me. Its a good piece to be introduced to the use of thirds and such. :) Thanks! :D
