  • Ward Kimball was bigger train enthusiast than I when I was a kid

  • This is a real treat to see. I wish I could have met Ward Kimball. Anyway, they've torn down Grizzly Flats. I don't know what they've done with the train parts, but I'm pretty sure they haven't scrapped anything. I think they gave the stuff away.

  • i remember seeing this on the Disney channel in early 2000, they probably will not show these anymore, its all Hannah Montana shit now.

  • @CartoonFan56 oh no, it wasn't torn down, his house and the whole property is still intact, currently for sale, the tracks were torn up though. the engine house and firehouse still stand. the locomotives, Chloe and Emma, and rolling stock went to the Orange Empire railroad museum.

  • Ward Kimball was a hardcore railfan, I would have loved to meet him. Everything from Grizzlyflats is now at the Orange County railroad museum.

  • @resa80 That's amazing! I wish I could have met him before, he seems so awesome!

  • i would love talking to this guy

  • I lived two streets away from him in Temple City and actually got to ride the train a couple of times. It's so nice to see this film, it really brings it all back!

  • My mom's friend is the engineer of the Emma Nevada.

  • Toot = brass, whistle = woodwind, plunk = strings and boom = percussion.

Just like music in my ears!

That bell, steam trains whistling and other "old-fashioned" railroading sounds makes me cry happy tears! :´)
