I would love to know who gave this a thumbs down... I really can't fathom what fault there is to be found with this song. It has a crystal clarity and depth of emotion that most songs only aspire to.

@janisdawnjohnson No matter how sacred your cow is, there are plenty of perfectly sane and decent people out there who it just doesn't appeal to. A lot of music has clarity and depth of emotion... I imagine some of it is stuff you don't like.

you cant trust that just because people dont have deaf ears that the ones they do have arent dumb ears. dont take it too bad...some people are just ignorant to music that isnt shoved down their throats or doesnt meet certain prerequisites of sounding like shit.

@DanWillett Are you a junkie? People with no emotion do a lot of drugs, it kills your emotions so you feel numb. Everyone knows Elliott did a lot of speed and when you stab yourself in the stomach, you want to die. It is not like taking pills. Also, not everyone knows when you pull a knife out of a stomach, you die instantly. She just wanted to save him. Sounds like you have never been truly loved.

@relsismada Nail on the head. Drugs make people realize that they can feel amazing, normal or happy (esp if they are in constant pain, psychic or physical), even if the backlash of coming down is hell that amazing feeling is worth going through that hell again and again. Just like the saying 'love hurts', people still go back. Imagine knowing you could never fall in love again, that is what becoming sober feels like to someone who (even for a few precious moments of relief) will never use again.
