I passed on Breakfast last time I rode, but that looked pretty good.

You cant go wrong with Amtrak French Toast. The times I had it, I swear they made it from Texas toast bread. Great stuff.

I am one of those people that wants to see Passenger Rail Service return to EVERY city and town! That food you're showing there looks mighty tasty, may I ask "how are the prices these days"? I know the trains were notorius for their high prices years ago, the last time I rode the train. Believe that was in late 60's early 70's, cigarettes on the train were $3 a pack, about what a carton would cost at that time. What's the policy on smoking these days?

@woundedbear49 I believe it is non-smoking. I know in the dinette car the prices are not too terrible(sanwiches, microwavbles, alcohol etc.)

Let's say I get a roomette or whatever they're called, and I want to bring a cooler full of beer along on my "long trip". What's their "policy" on that??

@woundedbear49 you might have a small problem with beer but i always take a cooler bag with me on my long distance train trips all the time with no problem.
