  • This fanboyism is stupid...

    I'm a CnC player (and always will be) and I'm sure SupCom is a great game. Neither one sucks. There's a reason both CnC3 and SupCom got high ratings.

  • Supreme Commander is much more strategic than C&C. SupCom's lack of hard counters helps make it so that picking air, navy or land to specialize in is not a suicidal move. Plus, experimentals. Experimentals are the best super-units ever.

  • So one nuclear missile can take out 1000 units, than everyone will get nuke as fast as possible.

    Depends highly on map size. A game on a 5x5 km map can be over in minutes, and rarely goes past half an hour in normal play. Whilst an 8 player game on an 80x80 km map can go on for hours. Disabling stationary defence or doubling resource rates will also cut game time in half.

    I used to love the old C&C games, Warcraft, Age of Empires etc (well still do...), but since SupCom turned up, every other RTS I see just looks like a game of toy soldiers now. '_'

  • @Bastylax86 Well, CNC is meant to be fast paced. In 7 minutes you should have full tech and a decently sized army even while fighting against an enemy. Sure, the newer players will get steamrolled by veteran CNC players like myself who use rushes to knock rift-raff out of our way and find good players who, I find, rushes seldom work against. It's more like sizing one another up.
