The Underrated Beatle: George Harrison's Top Tunes

I know I can't be the only one who feels George is not appreciated enough as a musician, so I made this little video.

In no particular order, here are 16 of my favorite George Harrison-penned Beatles songs. I know I left out some good ones ("Only a Northern Song"), but I picked the ones that stuck out to me at the time and could fit in one video. None of George's brilliant solo work is on here, that's a whole other video!

Songs are accompanied by random clips of George and the boys, most do not match up with the songs at all! The clips are just for fun anyways, it's the music that matters! It's also fun to try and name where all of the video clips came from. Most are pretty obvious, but some of the live performances might be harder to identify.

Lennon and McCartney were such egomaniacs and he was more reserved and the younger of the four. He just laid back while they stayed out front. However, George was a great song writer and guitar player.

LOL "Underrated" is not exactly a compliment. Nobody posts this kind of thing in Lennon videos or McCartney video because they don't NEED such a claim. In the end, calling someone "underrated" is simply code for "why don't people like this guy as much as I do"? The answer might be in his new (only) documentary "Living In A Material World". Which skipped theaters and went straight to cable TV. Not enough wide appeal.

Long, Long, Long is another great tune by George Harrison for the White Album. Surprised its not included in the video.

@janiwaka "And I Lover Her" is a Lennon/McCartney composition and it was sung by Paul. It IS a beautiful song, though.

"Across the Universe" is also Lennon/McCartney, sung by John. It, too, is a great song, though. But I'm biased as I'm a major Beatles Freak! :)
