  • I've only even heard this song in mono. Does a stereo version exist?

    Like the odd time signatures.

  • @IcouldBNE1 You asked if a stereo version exists. Yes. On the Rhino 'Greatest Hits' CD the song is in stereo. It's slightly longer, as the middle section is longer (by artificial extension..someone did some cutting and pasting to make it go on a bit more.)

  • I am Lovechild 1 month old when this song was emerging...

  • What a great song. It stuck in my head all day and night.

  • I had this song stuck in my head all of yesterday and couldn't place the name on the song. Then just now it hit me. Turtles rock!

  • This was always my favorite Turtles Song. Too Dark to be a hit. Just my luck .

  • Great song. The Shamen covered it very early on in their career, believe it or not...

  • This was the boys 4th single and the follow up to You Baby. Always liked this one but the buying public didn't go for it. Written by lead guitarist Al Nichol and bass player Chuck Portz.

  • @lcr1955 It actually sounds like it could have been a theme for a cheap horror B-movie.

I believed this was released as a single...just wasn't particularly successful compared to others that the Turtles cut ("Happy Together", "It Ain't Me Babe", "Eleanor").

  • Great tune! I love the descending harmonies at :34 and 1:52. Should have been a hit single!
