I caught this train in less than ideal railfanning conditions, but it was worth it. A steady, cold rain was falling as this UP SD70Ace leads a long manifest through Ft. Payne, AL on the NS AGS North sub. I'm not sure why this train had stopped like it did. Only half of the train was on the siding and had been stopped like this for over 30 min. No other trains passed in the opposite direction and the block signals were clear up the line.

  • nicwe catch! 5***** You didn't chase it down to the front and get more of it? Or was it out of driving reach?

  • Thanks!

I did my best to chase, but got caught up in the traffic he had backed up as well as every red light possible. :-( He was long gone by the time I got to clear roads. Oh well...
