Jenn's Crash

Five people successfully glided with him today, and Jenn was his sixth. Of the seven people there, five were ER nurses (LUCKY)! Turns out we needed their expertise. Jenn's got a few bruises and scratches, but the poor pilot dislocated and possibly broke his shoulder. His glider bent a little as they landed.

If you watch closely, you'll see that the pilot tried to get Jenn up on his back so that she wasn't affected by the landing. He ended up putting her almost all the way in the grass while he took the dirt and gravel - they both handled the whole thing better than I did.

@jacoherbst - it may look like chaos, but the fact that she was able to walk away from it speaks volumes to the man's skill as a pilot. He did his job keeping her safe.

I also have it in higher resolution and can play it in slow motion (and have done so many times), and I stand by my saying he was trying to get her above him for the landing. It becomes clear when it's slower.

I think it was she by her own climbing up the pilot, moving the center of gravity ob both and, then, disturbing the polit control of the HG, which was necesary to land in that emergency condition. They just didn't land. They fall without control.

I don't buy that. Sorry. Things happened way to fast for the pilot to do anything else than to fly the glider. He was obviously (need I add IMO?) caught unawares separating from the tow vehicle very early and stalling that big baby into the ground. Understandable. Not blaming him...just the above excuse does not cut.
