Rod casts a spoon out from the shoreline of the Fraser River mouth and connects with an estuary bull trout that cruises the shallows for food.

  • What kind of rod were u using? L or UL?

  • @chilluout UL. 2 - 6lb test.

  • I've lost more lures than I care to admit in those rocks - can't stop reeling for a second!

  • @bccanoe When I first started lure fishing at this particular spot, I lost quite a few lures but I rarely lose one now. I've found it useful to show up when the tide is at its lowest to see where all the rocks and weeds are.

  • nice vid man i fish for bullies here in Prince George BC and its pritty dang good check out my bull trout vid on my channel

  • @christianfishin379 Nice, interior bull trout are typically much bigger than our coastal bull trout. One day we will make our way up there to do a feature.

  • @heidaro Those would be kites

  • @FishingThePNW Bull trout is also not a primary target species up here in BC (until recent years anyway). Since you can't keep them, they are often just by-catches that you have to release when salmon fishing. This is great because it keeps the places where I fish uncrowded. :)

  • @heidaro Those are indeed kites. It's a very popular area for people to fly kites and there is in fact a club dedicated for this.

  • great vid cheers for the upload
