These are the first 8 minutes of my attempt to align the show with James Cameron's Terminator. Changes: * Now it takes place in 2007. Forget the time travel and age inconsistencies, getting rid of the bank time travel machine and the giant head-popping blaster is worth it. Besides, Terminator 3 was a comedy spoof as far as I am concerned. * Sarah moaning about wombs has been replaced with a shorter, tighter exposition. The dream sequence has been de-lameized and moved where context-appropriate (after River's appearance). * River now has an appearance scene ! She appears ALONE, in the middle of the road, and proceeds to beat up the guys in the first car that stops in front of her. (in the original, she had no initial appearance scene, and it was two different cars; instead, she appeared AT THE END with Sarah/John, all naked and not at all weirded out or in pain, making for a strange comedy element that I don't even want to touch). Also, the bubble doesn't appear immediately now. First there's a "burst". * The "Teacher" is now a lot less goofy. He says "No." instead of "Madonna ? Why ? No.". "Class dismissed" and the gleeful "Excellent" quips are both gone. "Let's take attendance then" is also gone, because his acting was awkward. * Metal detector sequence from ep.3 is now resequenced and used here for foreshadowing. John SPOTS River going through metal detector but doesn't quite know what to make of it yet. This generates an inconsistency in River's clothing(ep1 vs ep3), but I try to compensate by implying that she robs a roomful of girls of their clothes. There's only so much that can be done, y'know. * John is a lot less dumb now. The moment "Teacher" says his name, he looks suspiciously in River's direction because he feels something is wrong (he doesn't know who is who, like in T2), and then darts across the room. In the original sequence, the "future leader of human resistance" was oblivious to all and was caught completely by surprise, which made "Teacher" aim look even worse, and John - like an idiot. * "Teacher" doesn't catch John at point-blank range and is NOT about to kill him. John's survival skills are not that terrible. * Background music is now a lot more "Terminator" and a lot less "Braveheart".
On behalf of The Sarah Connor Chronicles, savethescc(com) is aiming to make an impact at the San Diego ComicCon 2010, where over a hundred thousand fans of genre television, as well as major networks and media will be gathering this July.
Our goal is to fund the return of the mobile billboard to circle the convention area on the busiest days of the con and to fund promotional giveaways to distribute with our message.

Thank you sir. I am waiting until the show gets canceled. Then I will take all of the episodes and make a short-to-medium length movie out of it, faithful to James Cameron vision of Terminator.
