Whether he deserved to get Kevin or not, it wasn't justified for him to KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE!
Whether he deserved to get Kevin or not, the specific scientists he killed were innocent people minding their own business who had nothing to do with his previous disgrace.
That, and there was absolutely no justification for him to attempt to kill a senior citizen and a little boy.
I conclude he did NOT deserve to get Kevin because he threw his conscience and sense of decency away.

I'm sure it would have made him far less paranoid ! He kept thinking everyone wanted to catch Kevin before him !

Carl should have told muntz to return to civilization with his bird skeleton. DNA analysis would have proved Muntz's bird was authentic.
Of course that would have ruined the rest of the movie.

It's funny how he started off to be so friendly in a short time we saw that he was a maniac. Muntz is a fantastic villian, he wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone, hence when he tried to kill Russel.

Judging by the caps and goggles he had, It would appear he killed at least 7 people in his obsession. At least he didn't keep their heads instead.
