Caliph Omar's letter on victory in Persia!

The Last Messenger of GOD, Muhammad(pbuh) had sent invitations to 8 rulers around Mecca to accept Islam..This is the text of his letter to the Persian King Khosrau II:

"In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful. From Muhammad, the Messenger of God, to the great Kisra of Iran. Peace be upon him, who seeks truth and expresses belief in God and in His Prophet and testifies that there is no god but God and that He has no partner, and who believes that Muhammad is His servant and Prophet. Under the Command of God, I invite you to Him. He has sent me for the guidance of all people so that I may warn them all of His wrath and may present the unbelievers with an ultimatum. Embrace Islam so that you may remain safe. And if you refuse to accept Islam, you will be responsible for the sins of the Magi."

He tore up the letter and sent assassins to kill Prophet Muhammad(pbuh)..When Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) was informed about this he said that the Persian kings empire will be torn apart the same way..A few years later the Arab territories occupied by the Persian king revolted and joined the Caliphate, and later on the Persian Empire declared war on the Caliphate..

Hazrat Umar(ra) was the Caliph at that time and said that i wish there was a wall between us and them..But still he was prepared to fight and gave the Persian King of that time 3 options-

1) Accept Islam and be our brothers..or
2) Pay Jizya..or
3) Come to the battlefield and fight!

Then ofcourse came the Islamic Conquest of Persia! Khalid bin Waleed was the commander general of the Muslim Army!

Umar's liberal policies were continued by at least his immediate successors. In his dying charge to his successor he is reported to have said:

" I charge the caliph after me to be kind to the dhimmis, to keep their covenant, to protect them and not to burden them over their strength. "

Why are people so ignorant to dislike this video. I was born a Roman-Catholic, but now i kind of believe in everything, My point is why are people so ignorant to other cultures. I studied a lot of Islamic History. I believe Western Historians have distorted a lot of the facts, which is a shame.
