@tripleleo They have every right to be upset. The man nextdoor killing the goat was violating a city ordinance. It has nothing to do with being offended. The man was breaking the law and needed to be punished. City ordinances are put in place for a reason; to prevent peple from doing things that upset the balance of society and to protect the freedoms of everyone in the vicinity. To compare ritual killings to farm killings is ridiculous because farm fall under a certin ordinance that allows it.

Oshundayo is bat shit crazy. He uses words like Hillbilly to marginalize me yet tries to justify ritual sacrifice? Dude my comment about a Third World Country was based on my living in SEA for many years and when the courts and police fail to protect citizens that is a true start of a decline. You are free to believe what ever fairy tales you wish to but in this case one persons religious freedom infringed on another persons right to live in a safe, sanitary place.

@mikepulcinella y the hell do u care about this religion?
-
Yeah, I wanted to get the full picture of what was going on. And it turns out the full picture is that this should have been left to the cops. I hope the guy goes to jail because he is A: misrepresenting Santeria and B: ignoring zoning laws, but still, it's a legal issue, not evidence of how religion is bad.
-
@HoundofOdin You watched it though, didn't ya?
-
No, I got the part where he ignored the zoning laws, but that doesn't change the fact that you should have called the cops and then left it the fuck alone. Videoing yourself bitching about obnocsious neighbors a documentary does not make.
-
@HoundofOdin You completely missed the part where the guy doing the slaughtering was breaking the law that the rest of us had to follow, and was avoiding paying taxes while running a business out of his home, but that wouldn't be important to someone like you.

This guy needs to mind his own damn business. He's pissed because he has to look at a religious ceremony he doesn't agree with. Well too fucking bad. I get pissed every time some buck toothed Bible thumper starts in with the "you need Jesus!" bullshit, and when some rationaler-than-thou Atheist starts in with the "you are so simple because you have religion" bit, but I don't run to grab a camera and start making "documentaries" about how those people are bad. Mind your own damn business bigot.
This guy was garbage...he had no right to treat you guys that way. As a Santero he should've thought before he was acting, from the video you can tell that he was a drunk. A disgrace to Santeria. I am a Santeria follower and I apologize on this peace of garbages behalf. I ask that you dont condemn our religion because of this. He could have practiced his religion with everyone in mind. He was disrespectful trash. Once again I apologize for his stupidity.

this documentary is so not balanced, you no better than the judges
SweetCaramelDip 1 year ago
@SweetCaramelDip I never said it was balanced. It was my viewpoint and every time I tried to get balance from the other side they became secretive and would not talk to me.
