i wouldn't call it nonsensical. it's actually serious social commentary on legit, often overlooked shortcomings of our male dominated society. Done in a fun way, of course ! yet pointedly astute. you get 'em girls...

The only complaint I have is her hairdo LOL! Other than that this is my favorite Bangles album! Such a great early 60's surf feel!

@selinakyle The single version had a different mix. the vocals are more to the fore: the intake breath after each "oh-oh" is pretty prominent.
