Paul Fields is the owner and developer of McCloud Mountain. I became acquainted with Paul years ago when I sold Paul a John Deer tractor.

The Cumberland Trail passes through this part of the McCloud Mountain which is the Cumberland Mountains. Cumberland Gap is a few miles North East of the restaurant location.

With soaring cliffs and majestic arches, Mt. Cloud Mountain is an awe-inspiring place to visit. It may be this part of the South's best-kept secret. Mt. Cloud is located on a 1300 acre tract of land at an elevation of 2700 feet, atop the Cumberland Mountains, and six miles out of LaFollette, Tennessee. From the top you can get a breathtaking view of the valley below, Norris Lake, The Great Smoky Mountains, and Knoxville, Tennessee.

Over fifty years ago, Jim McCloud purchased the land and began sightseeing tours of the mountain's many natural wonders and magnificent views. His dream of one day sharing the property has become the reality of Real Estate Developer Paul Fields. In the days to come, this little piece of heaven will see the opening of a five unit lodge for nightly rentals and what is easily the most unique restaurant setting anywhere.

  • You must be a born YouTuber if you can even compose your own sound tracks. I noticed - and grooved to - the music right away. Great stuff. Mr. Field's McCloud Mountain view is not unlike the Annapolis Valley view from the North Mountain here in Nova Scotia. Beautiful.

  • @not2tees I would love to visit Nova Scotia someday.

  • Good luck to Mr. Fields in his endeavor. Usually, these kinds of projects go a short while, and die off when revenues don't meet the expectations. Especially in this economy. Damn good view, he sure picked a eye popping location.

  • @Amiduffer Paul is more involved in real-estate development than restaurants. He developed Deerfield resort one of the best places on Norris Lake to live. He developed a golf-course second to none with a modern airport at Deerfield. Every 5 years our community sponsors "The Best Of Times" and Mr. Fields is going all out to cater to this celebrating.

  • @Amiduffer have a friend of mine that bought a lot up there. on the same side. right down from the mil and a half dollar view. its insane to be up there in person. and paul is a true gentleman. talked to him for a lil bit. enjoyed his company.

  • It's a shame for the pilots of this area not to be able to fly their gliders from this mountain, which was common place years ago. If he wants more people to see and invest in his work, the flying world has always had a large following of people and friends with money and dreams of owning property as seen in his video.

  • Thanks Wayne for sharing this...What a beautiful place and location.

    2 thumbs up.

  • absolutely no lie..the red roof building at 2:18 is like a mile from my house and you can see the restraunt from my house

  • I used to work for you. When are you going to give my job back?

  • This music is absolutely horrid. The restaurant looks nice though...

    Churry cobbler... can't wait!

  • @ockteby Just come up in the summertime - it's usually neither too hot nor too cool then. As for the winter, stay far south!
