ICE OVA trailer

ICE is a 2007 original video animation created by Yasushi Akimoto and directed by Makoto Kobayashi. It is set in the ruins of Tokyo in the near future, after an unspecified catastrophe has led to the death of all human males and many females. The small groups of women who survive face the impending extinction of humanity. There are suggestions that the disaster was caused by human interference with nature, possibly biological warfare experiments or genetic engineering.

Many of the survivors blame men's warlike nature and scientific arrogance for the catastrophe. However, even though men have perished, the women who remain are forced to use violence in the face of bioterrorism and other threats. While some accept their fate as the last generation of humans, others see biological engineering as a final hope for the survival of the species.

just got finished watching and thought it was an amazing movie. i'm not to big on Yuri but i really loved this movie. and what surprised me was that a friend of mine that works at a video store recommended it to me and their a guy. it's makes me happy to realize that not all guys are complete ass holes!

people who hate dubs are just elitist nerds who think watching subs is cool.

statistically dubs get good reviews just as often as subs, and i've seen multiple instances of dubs getting much better reviews than the original sub versions.

@BassLiberators Your last statement is probably true, I think it's the dub of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann that alot of people think is better than the japanese original. I myself haven't tried it except for some short videos on Youtube so I can't really say if it's true or not and since I've grown so accustomed to japanese VA's that it doesn't "feel right" without 'em.

I never did reason why people hate dubs. Just because English speakers don't emote the same way as Japanese speakers does NOT mean they don't emote at all. It's natural for people to think they're not as good as what they're used to, but does that automatically make them bad?

Hmm I don't really hate dubs, I just dislike 'em and I prefer the japanese dubs compared to the english 'cause alot of things in the english dubs imo sounds so terrible and/or ridiculous.

The story makes little to no sense

It wasn't designed to be an anime anime

It was meant to be a launching point for "Ice" a voice acting/idol singing subgroup of AKB48

From what I've heard the original japanese was meant to be a way of getting AKB48 fans to buy ****loads of dvds...

Apparently AKB48 fans (usually older japanese guys that like jailbait) buy up hundreds of a cd at a time, so they hoped they'd do that for ice

I used to totally hate dubs because of the older ones that would change the entire story (ex, sailormoon), but a lot of the newer ones are really good. And guys, there are both horrible dubs and originals out there, it's a fact. I for one love the dub of TRIGUN more than the original, but I can't stand the dub of Karin (Chibi Vampire). And remember everyone has their own opinion :P

ANYWHO, so what's the age rating for this and why? Is it ok for my 11 year old sister to see? If it's for violence

@BassLiberators actually I also stopped watching German dubs of American movies because once I discovered the original versions, dubs just sounded really bad and dumbed down in comparison
