You can probably build the mount itself for under $15, but the cameras still go for about $80-$200 depending on what you mount on it. It's a really simple thing if you've got the camera. I think disassembled it will fit into a Medium sized Priority Mail box.

I admire your honesty...and your use of a camera inside the RV. Let me know if you're ever planning on doing it again and I'll send you a "Carclopse" rig and you can shoot from the bumper's POV, at least until the camera is destroyed.
