But cry engine 3 was made for city emviroments, not for a large jungle
-
who can afford computer that can run this shit 60 fps, who can? who will pay another 500-1000 bucks so it runs slightly faster and looks slightly better, the ps3/xbox360 is good enough, eh?
-
lol thought first 1 was cryengine 2 I was about to say the the f*ck can u downgrade lol
-
@TheTollFace oh but they did... where did I put that document? aha, here it is damn, google search "Crysis-2-Key-Rendering-Featur
es.pdf" including the quotes. I think it's great they focussed on optimising, means their engine can look great, and run great too... at least on pc anyway. -
also on ce3 notice the lag of the shadow as the tree falls unlike ce2
-
jeez crysis on lowest you can see trees far away. unlike ce3 it is very short. i even noticed crysis 2 pc cause i have it when im 15 feet away it materiallized. im like o_O then i look up this vid

@Nikos21Aekara Yes, it can. In 2006, by the time the PS3 was released, there were already Conroe-based Core 2 Duo processors and GeForce 7950 series GPUs, which is enough to run those games, even a bit better than consoles do. If you were willing to spend more and get a larger performance advantage, there were also Kentsfield-based Core 2 Extreme processors and GeForce 8800 series GPUs, the latter being released just three days before the PS3 was launched in japan.

@zombieapocalypse561 yeah but the best pc that existed on 2006 can't afford battlefield 3 or crysis 2
