Magnetic Shielding is NOT the Holy Grail

http://MagnetNerd.com One observation I've made on the YouTube videos about magnetic shielding is that the producers typically use ceramic magnets instead of Neodymium Magnets. From this they conclude that a permanent magnet motor can be created to produce free energy. They assume that by using shielding that they can creat a monopole magnet. Well, there ain't no such thing as a monopole magnet. And without monopole magnets there is no such thing as a fuel less permanent magnet motor.

You have to realize there is a big difference between energy, such as the electrical power of a battery, and force, as with magnet force. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but can be converted to another form of energy. Resistance converts electrical energy to heat energy. Magnetic force can neither be created nor destroyed nor converted into something else, but can only be redirected. This is why batteries run out of electrical energy and die and magnets dont die.

You're not shielding properly. It takes two opposite poles to allow the field to follow the ferromagnetic material instead of passing through it. Please see my video response.

@ampeyro you would be a good candidate for no child left behind , Magnetic Shielding is NOT the Holy Grail this guy too. let me state the theory of over unity mechanical magnet magnetic forces can be canceled out as easy as a electric magnet produce them or produce with little input of energy .you will see one day it will power every thing . mechanical magnet about a 1000 time more effusion then a electric magnet.

Why is everyone Focusing on the magnets when the the last thing to create the megnetic field are the COILS!? Why are people finding a way to either shut the coil off half way through passing through the magnetic field. Tere has to be a point when passing through the magnetic field that the coil is maxed out in production of Electricity. This is the point that the coil should be shut off before completely passing by the Magnet. This has to happen on every coil every time it passes the EMF...

This video is useless,you understood wrong the problem.The mangetic shield the people are looking for must NOT BE ATRACTED by the magnetic fields.Imagine a magnetic motor,if you shield the magnets whith stell ,they will be igual attracted by the rotor an the stator,so clearly WILL NOT WORK.we are looking for a material which is a good madnetic field shielder in order to shield the sticky positions of an magnetic motor,that will cause that the whole magnetic force will be directioned...

you obviously were not paying attention, go back and watch the video again and youtube or google stop deleting John Roney's video's. There is some more information I need to get from him and the videos are hard to come by because you keep deleting them

in other words I don't necessary see this Zero point energy as a total nonsense... just that we don't really know how to steel power from the Earth magnetic field...

Imagine how somebody would reacted 100 years ago when you told him that you could produce electricity putting a panel into the sunlight...

in my humble opinion permanent magnets are only very special rocks where the inner crystals are polarized in the same direction. I think that also NdFeB "permanent" magnets are done just the same way. They are molten and then a magnetic field is passed through the molten alloy to polarize the crystals inside. Then they solidify and there we have the nice permanent magnet... which in fact does not produce any magnetism themselves; they are just channeling the Earth magnetic fields...

HDDs have two NdFeB magnets and the supports are made from a special alloy that shields the magnetic field. You can try by sticking your magnetometer to the opposite side of the support and see if it acts as a magnetic shield or not...

steel is not a magnetic shielding material at all, neither copper or aluminum.

soft Iron is far better for this purpose... but i think the above mentioned alloy is even better (MuMetal I think)
